On election day, we had a “We the People” workout where it was all about the teamwork. While we missed Gomer and Dash, don’t fear; I saw each of them at separate intersections getting their own workouts as they waved and held signs…extra prayers for Gomer and her husband, Dash and Nelsen’s father-in-law today!
Warm Up: Shake and Bake lap
The Thang: (borrowed and adapted from another FiA group)
We lined up on the edge of the football field. There were five stations with four cards each. First person, ran to a cone, grabbed a card. While she ran, we planked. Upon return, we all completed the exercise listed on the card. Then, the next person in line ran to a cone and grabbed a card while we planked.
Station 1: 10 sit ups, 10 jumping lunges, 10 push-ups, 10 butt kickers
Station 2: 20 flutter kicks, 20 donkey kicks, 20 jabs (each side) , 20 high knees
Station 3: 30 Russian twists, 30 dollies, 30 tricep dips, 30 skaters (15 per side)
Station 4: 40 heel touches, 40 calf raises, 40 bicep curls (20 per arm), 40 jumping jacks
Station 5: 50 crunches, 50 squats, 50 tricep kickbacks (25 each arm), 50 high knees
We then paired up at the stairs. One partner ran up while the other rested. Once at the top, the partner joined them, while partner #1 rested. Then back down. (5 times)
Then back to the pad for some tire work. We split into two teams (one with the “light” tire and the other with the “big momma” tire) to flip the tires down the pad. At one end, we did 20 step ups, 20 squats (butt touching the tire) and 10 tricep dips. We then swapped tires and flipped down to the other end to do the same three tire exercises.
CoT: Prayers for family (including our furry family members) and friends who are ill or in time of stress, peace for parents, peace for candidates, and a BIG thanks for Icy Hot’s ordination!
POTUS will be at pad on Wednesday for anyone who wants to work out at 6. Doily is up to Q on Thursday!
