Total Tone Tabata +Candy Calorie Crush

These crazy cold temperatures have really tested my ability to follow through on my commitments, but I showed up in multiple layers determined to burn some calories! I love my timer which allows me to focus on breathing and not dying instead of keeping track of how many reps we need to do! It also allows each woman to focus on correct form and quality of exercise over quantity.  Here is what we did:

Quick Warm up;

30 seconds each:

Toy Soldiers

Mummy Kicks

Through the tunnels

Round 1 was  40 seconds of intense effort with 10 seconds rest between

Burpees

Mountain Climbers

Plank

Repeat for total of 3 cycles

Round 2 was 30 seconds of intense effort with 10 seconds rest between

Squats

Push ups

Repeat for total of 3 cycles

Round 3 was 45 seconds of intense effort with 10 seconds rest between

Jumping Jacks

Crunches

Repeat for total of 3 cycles

Round 4 was 30 seconds of intense effort with 10 seconds rest between

Lunges

Wall Sit

Surrenders

What, all of that only took 25 minutes!?!?   Then we had 18 minutes of “Candy Calorie Crush” Did you know it would take 28 minutes of jogging in place to burn the 180 calories of a Candbury Egg?  We didn’t do that, but here is what we did do: We had a bucket of various candies that each PAX selected which had a specific exercise to complete:

70 calorie Jelly Beans-  30 seconds of High Knees

2 pieces of Starburst- 30 seconds of butt kickers

Candbury Egg– Oh my!  run up the stairs- 3 times (we counted coming down so technically didn’t make this happen very well, but C’mon- did you see we did all of those surrenders?!)

Fun size M&M’s- 30 seconds of bicycle crunches

fun size Skittles- 1 minute of fast feet!

2 pieces of Starburst- PAX choice- 20 Hello Dolly’s

Fun Size M&M’s – 25 Raggedy Ann’s

Jelly Beans- 20 Knee to Elbow

Starburst- 25 tricep dips

3 Musketeer bite size-  10 flutter kicks

Snickers bite size- PAX choice- 25 Penguin Crunches

Skittles fun size- 10 ski jumps

Skittles fun size- 25 tricep Dips

We closed in prayer and our devo was around 25 Ways to Be Happy in Life
