Thelma PB: Negative 1k Repeats

Contrary to the title, we are going to have a positively fantastic time at track tomorrow. We will be running 1,000m (aka 2 and a half laps) on repeat. The “negative” part is actually the best part – we are kicking it up a notch for the last lap, i.e., going negative.

The set-up: 1,000m run as 600m at tempo and then 400m at 80-90 percent effort. A 200m recovery follows. RECOVER = jog, walk, skip, whatever gets your head right for the next interval.

We will start with a generous dynamic warm up to get our legs ready.
