The New Quarter Pounder

Low energy from the PAX this morning as we sluggishly gathered for the workout.  I think Juggler was sleep walking, for real.  It’s Hump Day – not Slump Day!  Let’s get it started – get the blood flowing to get some life back into these ladies.

Warm-up:  AMRAP for 2 minutes

  • Squat with Knee Drive (alternating right and left)
  • Calf Pump Squats with High V arms (light weight)

The Thang:

  • Circuit the following 2 times through, 2 minutes each
  • Toe-Touch Crunches (right then left, using obliques)
  • Tic-Toc (step into rear-lunge, then step up and raise arms overhead, then lean forward into deadlift, then swing upright kicking leg forward and arms back for tricep squeeze)
  • Butterfly Jacks (JJ legs with sequenced arms)

Next Thang:  “The Quarter Pounder” – circuit each exercise with a quarter-mile sprint between each

  • Cross chops (hold weight like an ax, courtsey lunge right and chop down to the left)  alternate after 1 minute
  • Renegade Rows
  • Bridges
  • Side Plank Press

We all seemed to perk up during the workout.  Thankfully rain held off – though that let the bugs be available to join the fun.   Juggler was prepared with the bug spray!  Thank you!!  Pickleback was a welcomed sight, so good to see you in the AM!  Dory and Runner Girl dug deep and pulled through having Rucked last night.  I’m impressed ladies!  You all make me want to get out to the AO – because I really do need the motivation.
