Our love and hate relationship with Dora and Tabata

The Pax talked a lot tonight about our love/hate relationship with workouts. We hate it while we are working it, but love how we feel after the workout. So Bad Wolf and I wanted to make sure the Pax HATED it (and maybe us) as we werk, werk, werk, werk, werk (Rihanna), but felt that sense of accomplishment when the workout was complete.

Warm-up:  ‘

  • one lap around the circle at Paramore Park
  • calf stretches
  • arm circles (forward/backward)

The Thang:

We started with DORA 123- the Pax partnered up and while one partner ran the other would start the designated exercise. If you are new to this, when completing DORA you work as a team to complete the set. When your partner returns from their run they will pick up where you left off on designated exercise until the set is complete. The sets include:

100 Jumping Jacks

200 plank jacks

300 squats

The pax who were first to complete DORA assisted others with completing their sets until everyone was finished. #bettertogether

Bad Wolf led the second half of tonight’s workout with Tabata (50 sec work/10 sec rest)

  • ARMS: push ups, bicep curls, side raises, upright rows, front raises, kickbacks, hammer curls, shoulder press, arm circles, plank
  • ABS: crunches, bridges, rainbow planks, penguins, russian twists, defenders, shoulder tap plank, sitting punches

Bad Wolf ended with inspirational quote.
