Good Grief, It Is Cold Outside

  • When: 01/12/2019
  • Q: Peachtree
  • Pax: Bagherra, Pandora, Tag-A-Long, Dewey, SUP, Van Gogh (Respect), Cannonball, Helium, Fullback (Respect), Zeppelin, Miller

It was a very cold and breezy 35 degrees this cloudy morning, but 11 FiAs showed up to work out with me today.  Woot woot!!  We raised our FiA flag this morning and it was an awesome way to start our workout!

Warm Up

  • Imperial Walkers – IC 20
  • Hillbillies – IC 20
  • Inchworms – 10 OYO

The Thang

The Pax and I started our workout with weights in the parking lot.  All exercises were arm exercises using one arm at a time with a weight.  Each exercise was performed for one minute.

  • Half T’s
  • Overhead Press
  • Bicep Curl
  • Lady Libertys – performed on a curb, half of foot placed on the curb then the other leg (bent knee is brought to 90 degree angle) and arm (with a weight in hand is raised overhead) are lifted while the foot on the curb is raised and the calf is engaged.
  • Kickbacks

Switch arms, rinse and repeat.

The Pax and I then ran to the levee stairs for Elevens.

Elevens –

  • Jump Squats at the bottom
  • Reverse Lunges (HC) at the top

After completing Elevens we had enough time to run back to the Senior Center for ab work.

Abs and Stretching

  • Pigeon Pose – each side
  • LBCs – 30 OYO
  • Brooke Burkes – IC 20

Name-O-Rama and COT

My appreciation overflows for these women coming out on a cold morning to workout and enjoy each other’s company.  It is such a joy for me to see all of their smiling faces!

As each of you go into this new week, seek the good in others, see the good in yourselves, smile at strangers and find joy in the gift of every day God has given you. I send much love and many blessings to all of you because you are all an extraordinary blessing to me.

We have received the drafts for our logo and should have a finalized logo in the next week or two.  Then we can put it on gear!!  YAY!!
