A couple of days ago, Mona Lisa, GI Jane, and I traveled to Knoxville to help with their official launch. GI Jane brought an awesome Q that was introduced to us during our launch – however, it was quite the beat-down of a workout. By Sunday evening, I knew that Monday I was going to be on the Struggle Bus since I was unable to even walk up or down the steps in my own home!

Nonetheless, the Q must go on…….and 12 PAX showed up to put in some hard work! Honestly, these women were truly my motivation this AM!

Definitely a humbling experience for me – I don’t think I’ve ever been so sore or moved so slowly during a workout. But it reminded me that keeping moving – no matter how slowly – is what counts. Quitting is not an option.

COT: “Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path.”

Our attitude and perspective go a long way in how we weather the inevitable storms of life. We are all guaranteed to have difficult times: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you WILL have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

I think in the “first world” we live in, we are often surprised when this verse becomes reality for ourselves or loved ones.  But what if we were to view these storms and struggles as things that clear out the junk and clutter of our lives to make our lives ultimately better – more Christlike, more like the purpose He’s called us to?

Wife to F3 Honcho. Boy mom to twins + 1, and girl mom x 1 through adoption. NOT a morning person, but my FiA sisters are worth it. I hit up Riveter's Station every Monday and Wednesday AM before I conquer the world of rheumatology. Give me all the grace, coffee, and TN Volunteer football!
