Windy Saturday Morning Workout

It was a beautiful sunny but chilly morning – with a little wind adding a balance challenge to our workout!

WARM UP

  • Jog around field
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Side Steps with reaching arms
  • Toe Touches
  • Arm Circles

 

FOUR-CORNERS CIRCUIT

  • Corner 1:  5 Burpees (push-ups optional)
  • Corner 2:  10 Jump Squats
  • Corner 3:  15 Star Jumps
  • Corner 4:  20 Plank Jacks

Lunge walk between 1-2 and 3-4, Bear Crawl between 2-3, 4-1

Repeat circuit 2x

Quick interim stretch

 

CIRCLE CIRCUIT – 60 SECOND INTERVALS

  • Chair pose, small pulses (heels lifted, optional)
  • Chair pose, large range squats, all the way up to standing (heels lifted, optional)
  • Carousel Horse dips with arm (2x switching legs)
    • One leg out front with knees bent, other leg stepped back, arms bent in front elbows close to body
    • Dip back knee down, extend arms behind (slow, use tricep)
    • Bring back knee/arms back to starting position
    • repeat
  • Plank tricep push-ups with downward dog
  • Push-ups (starting flat on ground)
  • Plank flow with alternating side reach
  • Plank side shuffles
  • Spiderman crunches
  • Heel lifts (on hands and knees)
  • Fire Hydrants
  • L-Leg lifts
