Welcome back, Woodstock! We’re so glad you’re doing better! Our group of seven met bright and early on the We Fancy tennis courts to get our day started right!
We started with a few quick warm-up exercises, 30 seconds of each:
The next phase of the workout consisted of three rounds of four exercises done back-to-back, and then the circuit was repeated for four minutes. Each FiA worked at her own pace, completing as many sets as possible in the four minute round. Each round was followed by a 1/4 mile run around our mini-loop.
Round 1: 10 plie squats, 10 push-ups, 5 burpees, 10 superman with pull back
Round 2: 10 reverse lunges w knee lift (5 each side), 10 triceps dips, 10 mountain climbers, 10 plank dips (5 each side)
Round 3: 10 squats with front kick (5 each side), 10 inverted push-ups, 10 plank jacks, 10 side plank with “scoop” (5 each side)
Next up, abs, 30 seconds to complete as many reps as possible of each exercise:
We finished up with a quick thought about gratitude from Brene Brown: “It is not joy that makes us grateful, it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
In this spirit, I’ve got to say, that one thing I’m currently grateful for is FiA – it’s helped me make and maintain a commitment to myself and my health, and I so appreciate the supportive, welcoming community!
