Volleyball Training

  • Pax: Daisy, GenX, Chandelier, Ice Mom, Poppy, Hornet, Cruiser, Bayou, FNG - Alina, Irish, Native

This is the workout my daughter was given for summer training. She was instructed to do this workout 4x/week. Glad we only had to do it once!

Warm-Up – 10 IC:
windmills
cotton picker extensions
side-to-side reaches
toy soldiers
jumping jacks

The Thang:
Do a 1/2 mile run

Circuit:
10 push-ups
20 skaters
20 jump squats
10 burpees (no push-ups)
20 shoulder taps in plank
20 jump blocks (facing a wall, do a squat jump with arms stretching out overhead as if to block a volleyball at the net)
20 mountain climbers (double count)
20 jumping jacks
** complete this circuit two more times **

Core:
25 bicycle crunches (doubles)
25 Russian twists (doubles)
25 flutter kicks on your back (doubles)
25 in-and-out crunches
25 crunches
1 minute plank

Do another 1/2 mile run if you have time!
