I thought a tour of the park would be a fun idea for our Saturday beatdown! I am not sure everyone was as excited about it as I was though…at first.
We started with a 5 minute warm up and then started our tour.
We ran around the park stopping every quarter mile to complete an exercise:
1/4 – 10 Merkins
1/2 – 20 squats
3/4 – 30 LBCs
1 mile – 40 lunges (total)
The runners at the front of the pack not only completed the exercise for the corresponding round, but also completed the one(s) prior while they waited for the 6. For example at the 1/4 mark they completed 10 Merkins, 1/2 – 20 Squats and 10 Merkins, 3/4 – 30 LBCs, 20 squats, 10 Merkins etc…
We were just shy of 3 miles when we finished!! Awesome job ladies!! I heard “I am not a runner” a few times before we started, but everyone hung in there with me and we finished strong! As women, wives, mothers etc…we are so strong – we shouldn’t sell ourselves short when it comes to running and working out.
Thunderstruck closed us out with a prayer and we named our FNG – welcome Harley Quinn.
