We ‘ve had quite a bit of new women coming to try out FiA as the weather has gotten warmer this spring. So, I saw it only fitting to take them on a “Tour de FiA” of our many exercises and their quirky names. But I couldn’t just leave it at that. It need a little extra something……you know….that joie de vivre that keeps you coming back for more…..And nothing says joie de vivre like a Tabata. Am I right?!?!

Unfortunately, it appears I am scaring the PAX away with the Tabata. Seriously. No FNGs and a PAX of FOUR – yes, you read that right – FOUR. Are you kidding me, peeps?? Was is cold? Unless you live in the tropics, 65 degrees is not cold. Was it raining? No. Unless you’re a vampire who cannot be in the presence of sunshine, it was a beautiful AM. Was there the threat of boredom? Absolutely not. I had 30 of the best exercises FiA has to offer on Q – and I had MUSIC – the kind that one must shake the booty to. So what was it? The world may never know. What I do know is that I was tired and super sweaty afterwards, so I’m calling it a “win” anyway. (I’ll bring it back when they’re least expecting it…….hee hee hee)

(each exercise to be done for 25 seconds AMRAP with a 10 second rest between exercises)

21).  Right cross (elbow/knee) crunches

27).  High knees

28).  Imperial Walkers

29).  Ski Moguls

30).  Half burpees

(Rest for 30 seconds and repeat 1 through 30)

 

COT: Came across a lady (Nicki Koziarz, author and speaker with Proverbs 31 Ministries) on social media the other day who was paying tourist in LA and came across Dr Suess’ house. She mentioned that Dr Suess was rejected 27 times as an author, but he pressed on and did his thing and now his big dreams have tangible evidence of fulfillment. The women went on to remind her readers that we all have a “God dream” inside of us and there’s something in each of our blueprints that is just as tangible as Dr Suess’ house in Beverly Hills.

Oswald Chambers once said: ” Let God be as original with other people as He is with you.”

Work hard. Dream. But don’t trust yourself, trust God. Let the success of others encourage, not discourage, you. If it was possible for them, it’s possible for you too. But stay in your lane, rejection and all. Don’t compromise who you are for the world’s definition of success.

And may we let the words fo Dr Suess linger….. “Today you are YOU, that is truer than true. There is no one alive that is Youer than YOU.”
