As Thursday morning is the highlight of my week, I decided to highlight some of our favorite running spots.
Warm-up: Greatest Hit #1 Indian Run around Hanes Park stopping at Reynolda. Turn left and head to the base of Buena Vista hill. 20 lunges, 20 overhead claps, 20 squats.
Greatest Hit #2 Run up to the 800 mark of Buena Vista Hill and back down. 20 tricep dips at the bottom.
Greatest Hit #3 alternate jogging with the following exercises at 30 second intervals. High Knees, Butt Kickers, Walking Lunges, Windmills. Then continue to jog to the track.
Greatest Hit#4 Fartleks around the track. 4 laps running hard on the straights & jogging the curves.
Greatest Hit #5 The Intimidator. Run to the second stop sign up the Intimidator and back down to the picnic tables. 20 step ups, 20 push-ups, 20 raggedy Annes. Repeat
About 4.5 miles when it was all said & done. We circled up & Scoot happily announced her new age. Always a great way to start my Thursday.
