‘Twas a peaceful morning at Portside with deer having their breakfast alongside the tennis courts….until the FiA’s rolled in ready for action.

I decided to bring over Hops version of Four Corners from last week at Southside because, sharing is caring. Of course I forgot that the Southsiders suggested we do this workout on a Tuesday when we are rested and fresh and not on a Thursday after we are tired and sore from the weeks workouts….But! Aren’t we suppose to push ourselves?!

I did hear some moans and groans at the first corner as the Portside Peeps were complaining, I mean, complimenting Taxi on how her Tuesday workout snuck up on them and they were feeling it. Like, really feeling it. High fives!

Here’s what went down:

Four Corners Style – complete an exercise at each corner (in this case four exercises per corner), run to the next corner.

Corner 1:

  • 30 Squats
  • 30 Jump Lunges
  • 60 Reverse Lunges
  • 30 Monkey Humpers

Corner 2:

  • 30 Push Ups
  • 30 Dips
  • 60 Shoulder Taps
  • 30 Grasshoppers

Corner 3:

  • 30 LBC’s
  • 30 Bicycle Crunches
  • 60 American Hammers
  • 30 Leg Drops

Corner 4:

  • 60 Mountain Climbers
  • 60 High Knees
  • 60 Butt Kicks
  • Hold Plank -1 minute

30 BURPEES!!!!!

Repeat the corners.

We made it through Corner 3 the second round. Strong work!

COT: Courage. Strength. Success.

Thanks for following my lead even if I don’t know what a rectangle or square looks like. We made the corners and distance between work well. Pretty sure I had our distance longer than Southside. I’m impressed with all of your will power to try new things, RUN, and push yourselves and always with a positive attitude. Thank you!

It’s time for Southside to experience a little Portside….I will be bringing a Portside workout to Southside soon….Look out Southside!

I wanted to mention this at our COT -Please pray or send positive thoughts to the Phillips family. Their fourth child, a newborn, is fighting to get well and overcome major obstacles. They are all at Duke, trying to get through this tough time.
