Quick lesson about the Innkeeper in Bethleham. The Bible actually doesn’t really mention him or her. All we know is that “she brought forth her first-born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7)

We hear about how he slammed the door in their faces, but we don’t even know if that’s true. All we know is that God intended for Jesus, our King, to be born among the humblest of the humble. That’s where Jesus was at home, right? The innkeeper didn’t have a room to offer, we know that much. Perhaps, if he knew this was going to be the Savior of the world, he may have given someone else the boot. That’s not how it was meant to be. So, the innkeeper gave them his stable to use.

The innkeeper isn’t in nativity scenes, he doesn’t seem to play a major role, but he does! He serves as a reminder that God will always use what we have.

Ended with a story, COT and a selfie 😉
