Tabata and the Wall

  • When: 06/23/2018
  • Q: Peachtree
  • Pax: PanAm, Fullback (respect), Van Gogh (respect), Jingle

The sun was high and the humidity was a beast, but 4 amazing FiAs showed up to tough it out with me!  Knowing that it was going to be incredibly hot, I decided to go with a workout that could be done in the shaded parking lot.  Don’t let being in a parking lot lull you into thinking this was an easy workout because easy rarely describes one of my workouts!  😉

  • Butt Kickers – 20IC
  • Windmills – 15IC

COT and Namorama

So often when I am running I come up with the best things to say for COT, but then I completely forget it by the time my run is finished!  That was the case this past Saturday, I had something really great to say to the Pax and I completely forgot my train of thought…. old age!  😉  Anyway, what I forgot goes something like this…  Frequently when I have invited someone to come out and join us for a FiA workout I hear that they are not in good enough shape to workout with us.  Hearing this is truly disheartening and frustrating for me because I want them to give themselves a chance.  I feel that they look at me and think that I never struggle, that I never have a hard time while I am working out.  When I do tell them that I struggle with asthma with almost every workout, I feel like they don’t believe me.  I would love for them to see me when I run and have to stop frequently because my heart rate is over 200 and I can barely breathe.  I would love for them to see me sitting in my car taking 2 puffs from my inhaler before I can go into the gym to workout or to a FiA workout.  Yes, I struggle with almost every workout, but I choose to push through every workout and that is the difference.  I choose to workout and push myself.  We have to figure out how to get friends/family to choose to workout with us.  Every journey is rife with hazards and difficulty, but it is also full of experiences and accomplishments.

Have an awesome week!!

HUGS,

Peachtree
