Storms can’t keep up down!

This was our first official workout in a storm, so we stuck under the pavilion and actually enjoyed the nice cool breeze it gave us.  And off to the abs…

THE THANG

Set One – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Dancer Sit Up – Sit up with arms straight above head, roll to side into plank, hip dip, back to plank, back to sitting, roll back to floor

Mountain Climbers with a Twist – mountain climbers bringing opposite knee to opposite elbow

Set Two – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Boat, Hollow Man, Overhead Clap, Back to Boat

Plank, Hop legs up to one hand, side plank, repeat other side

Set Three – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Sit Up with Straight Leg, reach hand to toe in v sit shape

4 air punches, 180 turn by jumping, repeat (I definitely wouldn’t want to meet Queso in a fight!)

Set Four – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Elbow to opposite knee (each side) in V Up position, hollow man with arms reached out, tuck back together

Standing side crunch with hop – bring knee to elbow while crunching side and hopping

Set Five – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Burpee followed immediately by three quick jump squats staying low in the squats

Push Ups – focusing on keeping hands under shoulders and taking elbows back instead of out

Set Six – 20 second on/10 seconds off for 4 minutes:

Pulsing wall sits (Titanium makes these look easy)

Tricep dips from picnic bench (Grey Towers had no problem knocking these out)

COT: I picked this quote from the Harry Potter books – “Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both influencing injury, and remedying it.” –Albus Dumbledore The point here was to try and remember to be positive with our words.  There is a negative and positive reaction for everything, so our challenge to ourselves is to remain on the positive side.
