Standing Tabata Workout

After 3 weeks of being sick (and having to find a sub for my last Q!) I was determined to Q today.  Last night while my son was taking a bath I threw together a standing workout, in case the ground was wet from rain.  It turned out well!

After the warm-up, we did each move for 20 seconds, with a 10 second rest, 3x.

  • Jumping Jacks
  • Opposite knee to elbow
  • High knees
  • Alternating lateral/front raises (one arm straight out front, one arm to the side, then switch)
  • Walking lunges (or stationary lunges, if you prefer)
  • Dumbbell side bend
  • Jump squat
  • Triceps kickback (or overhead triceps)
  • Butt kickers
  • Side leg raises or roundhouse kick
  • Jump rope
  • Standing core stabilization
  • Star jumps
  • Deadlift
  • Alternating side lunges
  • Calf raises
  • Skaters
  • Cross chop
  • Ski jump or lateral jump
  • Bent over row

We ran out of time, but to finish the workout:

  • Touchdowns
  • Lunge/front kick
  • Bicep curls
