COT: Ruth Chou Simons (@gracelaced) recently posted a quote by Corrie Ten Boom: “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, it empties today of its strength.”

Ruth wrote further: “Let’s be honest: Some of us are naturally recharged with the turning of a new year. And some of us worry we won’t have what it takes to meet the demands of what lies ahead. For some, 2018 is full of opportunity, and for others, full of unknowns.”

Matthew 6:27, 33-34: And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his life span?….But seek FIRST His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

I, personally, am not a “worrier,” but the New Year typically finds me wondering about what lies ahead and if I’m going to be able to accomplish everything that is asked of me as a wife, mom, friend, NP, etc.

Ruth encourages us to plan, position, purpose, and prayerfully embrace 2018 – but through SEEKING HIM FIRST, rather than worrying about how we can orchestrate my life and plans successfully.

Wife to F3 Honcho. Boy mom to twins + 1, and girl mom x 1 through adoption. NOT a morning person, but my FiA sisters are worth it. I hit up Riveter's Station every Monday and Wednesday AM before I conquer the world of rheumatology. Give me all the grace, coffee, and TN Volunteer football!
