6 wonderful PAX showed up on this beautiful rainy Saturday Morning. So proud of these girls for showing up for a run in the rain! The rain did stop long enough for us to not get too wet. Girls Inc. hill was hard core, but we powered through!!

Warm Up:

Stretching legs and arms in your own time and some High knees.

The Workout:

Started out our run heading towards Johnson City’s King Commons Park

Did 30 tricep dips on the cement benches

Ran through the park to find the beautiful mural for our 1 minute wall sit

Ran up the hill towards the public library and used the steps for 60 incline shoulder taps

Ran down the hill from the library towards Girls Inc. for 50 squats and butt kicks

Ran up another hill through the church parking lot and stopped for 15 incline push ups

Ran up the Girls Inc hill which makes most hills look like nothing and tapped the building.

Then ran back down the hill for 20 plank jacks.

Ran back towards founders and stopped to do 5 burpees on the way back.

We had some extra time to kill, so we did carousel and ring of fire under the pavilion.

I shared with the girls my experience with dealing with grief and the process of losing a loved one. Even though it has been a year since the death of my grandparents I still have moments of feeling what I first felt the day I found out. Grief comes in waves. There will be times of healing and acceptance, but that feeling of grief will always find its way back. It’s ok to grieve during those moments. It is healthy to do so. It is also my way of remembering them again and finding comfort in the fact that I will never forget them. God helps me through those moments of pain and I can talk it through with Him. However you deal with grief just remember that it is important to grieve and give yourself time to remember them and cry. But then also pick yourself up again and move on with life. Then focus on the good things in life and remember that there are still people here on earth that care about you a lot. Live a happy life! #bettertogether #FiANortheastTennessee
