Running? Check. Community? Check. Adventure? Check. Bonfire, beer, outdoors? Check, check, check. Fun? You guessed it. What more could you ask for in a fall FiA event?!

Ragnar Trail – the best running party under the stars.

The Ragnar Trail Relay is coming back to Charlotte/Fort Mill for the 3rd year, Friday-Saturday, Oct 5-6 at Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC (just outside of Charlotte). If you’re not local, this is an ultimate FiA weekend getaway! It’s an 8-person trail relay where everyone runs 3 legs that all start and stop at the same place in Ragnar Village. The team is finished when everyone has completed all 3 loops. Total distance for each runner is 16 miles (3.3/easy, 6/intermediate, 6.7/harder) broken up over the ~24 hours.

Not a trail runner? Don’t let never running trails scare you – this location is one of the smoothest, flattest courses Ragnar organizes and, from my perspective, Anne Springs is 10x easier than running at the US National Whitewater Center!

If you’ve done P70/200 before, this is similar except instead of driving around in a car to your next legs and sleeping cramped up in a van, you get to hangout at a campsite with all the other runners! We will  have a designated area next to F3, so it’s a great opportunity to get to know the other FiA PAX. At night, you can hang out and relax with a campfire, s’mores, outdoor movies projected onto a big screen, music, beer, etc – oh and some sleep in a tent if you’d like! Here’s some more to love about Ragnar.

Registration includes shirt, a badass finisher medal (#bestmedalever), campsite and one meal and s’mores on Friday evening.

7 Things to Know Before You Run a Ragnar Trail Relay

Ms, 2.0s and fellow PAX are invited to hang out and support our teams! We will also need 2 volunteers per team if we just can’t convince you to run.

Here’s the website to check out for more info. F3 has typically over 10 teams each year, and we’d love to see a bigger FiA turnout! Plenty of time to train and even get a few on trails under your belt! Even our non-trail runners love Ragnar!

“I’m in [for 2018] – I loved it!! And I never thought I would say that about camping and running through the woods  at night!” – Grasshopper

If you register your team before Jan 31, use promo code SC18MVIP for $160 off regular teams or $100 off ultra (4-person) teams. We should be receiving a FIA promo code as well and will keep this post updated once received!

Contact Flyer @JessicaHreha on Twitter or Jessicaehreha@gmail.com if you’d like to be added to a team! Or you may create your own team, just let us know you’re coming so we can make space for you in our campsite area!

Let’s get after it FiA Nation! #FiARunsRagnar
