pyramid (with lots o’ rest?)…next time I’ll show no mercy

Borrowed this workout from Pepper, with some adjustments. Sketch said she really liked this structure! Advice: bring gloves. Also, could be good to write out the pyramid of exercises, like on a giant piece of paper, so people know what’s coming next. (I used an electronic app that only showed me the exercise immediately following, not the overall bigger picture. For some folks this is disorienting.)

Warm-up: jog around the playground and tennis courts!

 

Pyramid (20 second workouts, 20 seconds rest) –> each pyramid will equal 13:20 total
1 rest
1, 2 rest
1, 2, 3 rest
1, 2, 3, 4 rest
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 rest
5, 4, 3, 2, 1 rest
5, 4, 3, 2 rest
5, 4, 3 rest
5, 4 rest
5 rest

Set 1

  1. LBCs
  2. broad jump, jog back
  3. plank
  4. high knees
  5. bicycle crunches

Set 2

  1. step ups right/step ups left (alternating each time)
  2. tricep dips
  3. jumping janes
  4. push-ups
  5. lunges

Set 3

  1. crab walks
  2. swimmers (?) wasn’t sure the name…kind of like Superwomen on your stomach…
  3. mountain climbers
  4. leg lifts
  5. bear crawl

(Didn’t make it all the way through set 3, but by golly we went out swingin’!)
