Post Snow Workout

The roads and school parking lot were FINALLY ready for a workout in the dark. We were able to workout Saturday morning,  but it was light out and we provided the option of a Facebook Live Event. By Wednesday the roads around the school had melted and the parking lot had melted enough that we were able to find dry ground that wasn’t going to re-freeze before our workout! Normally for a cold morning, I like to add a lot of running into the workout to keep everyone moving , but that was hard since there was ice everywhere. So here’s how it went

 

Warm up:

  • 10 Jumping Jack in cadence (IC)
  • 10 Butt Kickers IC
  • 10 High Knees IC
  • 5 Toy Soldiers IC
  • 5 Windmills IC

The Thang:

One minute on, 20 seconds off, 2x through the workout

  • Shoulder taps
  • Frog jumps (stationary)
  • Plank
  • Squat jumps
  • Right leg donkey kicks
  • High knees
  • Left leg donkey kicks
  • Butt kickers
  • Boat to canoe
  • Stationary sprint (get in a runner’s stance and swing your arms as if you are running/sprinting)

Repeat

  • 30 Flutters IC
  • 30 second side plank each side
  • 20 leg raises
  • 20 second plank
  • 10 glute bridge raises
  • 10 second plank
