Pavilion Picnic!

For this rainy morning, we had a workout in the pavilion using the picnic tables as our “equipment” plus one dumbbell.

The Thang:  3 exercises per set; decreasing reps for 3 sets with Lt. Dans in between


  • Jumping Jacks – 20
  • Imperial Walker – 20
  • Cotton Pickers – 20

BENCH: 16 – 12 – 8 reps

  • Decline push up
  • Tricep dips with alternating kicks
  • Elevated Plank

Lt. Dan (1:4 ratio – 1 squat/4 lunges; increase to 4/16)

TABLE: 16 – 12 – 8 reps

  • Heels up plie
  • Heels up leg lift- front/side/back (both sides)
  • Goblet squats with 10 pound weights

Lt. Dan (1:4 ratio – 1 squat/4 lunges; increase to 4/16)

BENCH: 16 – 12 – 8 reps

  • Crab-Booty Tap
  • Prone hip extension
  • Reverse Crunch

Lt. Dan (1:4 ratio – 1 squat/4 lunges; increase to 4/16)


  • Bicycles
  • LBC
  • Flutter Kicks

This really made us work and sweat!  No running today, but plenty of cardio with the Lt. Dans.  We finished a few minutes early, but decided the workout was plenty.  Queso kept the count going and showed her grace with deep plies! Sonic Boom was hot around the track with the Lt. Dans!


Rev. 21:5 tells us that God says “Look!  I am making all things NEW”.  We can be made new every morning with His intervention – new physically as we work our bodies, spiritually as we intentionally grow our relationship with God, mentally as we let Him renew our minds with his hope and thoughts, and even situations that we are in.  I’ve been praying for God to make my friend who just had surgery “new”, my sister in a difficult work situation “new” in her abilities and organization, and many others.  So thankful for newness!
