The One Where the Teething Baby Cut Us Short

  • When: 03/12/2018
  • Q: Bookmark
  • Pax: Laura Ingalls, Snapped, Glamo

Personal struggles this morning. As I walked out of the house I heard my poor baby start crying. For a couple of months we could see the teeth buds under his gum line and the past couple of days all four have to decided to break on through. Between time changes and teeth, things have not been easily bookmarked in Bookmark’s house. Thankfully I work out with an amazing group of ladies who are super understanding and helped keep my mind off of my little one with great convo while we worked on getting our bodies strong.

Warm Up

  • 20 Arm Circles, IC
  • 20 High Knees, IC
  • 20 Toy Soliders

The Thang

Another tabata. I can’t help it counting isn’t my thing and love being able chatter instead of calling out reps. I did change up my normal deal by making it 50 sec on and 10 sec rest.

  • Squeal-billies (in a squat bend to touch elbow to knee)
  • Tricep Extensions
  • Peter Parker
  • Gorilla Humpers (same as monkey on wide)
  • Bent Over Flys
  • Tricep Kickbacks
  • Fire Hydrants
  • Arnolds (bicep curls with chest fly)
  • Brooke Burke
  • Squats with Kicks (front or side, it doesn’t matter just kick out your frustrations)

We went through this two times; although, I had planned for three.

3 Minute Ab Circuit (also had this planned for 5 minutes depending on time)

  • 20 Penguins
  • 20 Dying Cockroaches
  • 20 Mtn. Climbers
  • 20 In and Outs
  • 30 Crunches

Cool Down

Since we were already on our backs, we stretched by bringing each knee to our chest and doing some Happy Baby.

Devo and Prayer

It’s been 8 months since my husband and I got to go off on a date and spend some quality time together. With our evenings packed with kids, life, and exhaustion, we hardly have time for any form of intimacy. This quote really hit home; “It’s not always about sex, sometimes the best type of intimacy is where you just lay back, laugh together at the stupidist things, hold each other, and enjoy each others’ company.” There’s physical intimacy and emotional intimacy. God created each of these and neither is more important than the other, but it’s important to remember that both are needed.
