Mt. Everest who?

  • When: 06/19/2018
  • Q: Doula
  • Pax: wrangler, beaner, half pint, biscuit, love, scramble, keys, poppy, cameo, pinky, heartbeat, s'more, beats, FNG (mamacita), 007, sassenach

The Site: Weather surprisingly nice the whole time. However, some of our sweat soaked hair post bootcamp might have conveyed a different story. 17 Pax 1 FNG. Memphis was also treated with meeting 007 this morning who is the Regional leader for Knoxville, who launched their new location a week before us.

Disclaimer: Recited and listened by all.

Warm up:

Hillbillies 15 IC

Jumping Jacks 15 IC

Stretching on our hips before jumping in.

The Thang: Found this on the FIA website, loved the idea so BAM went with it. Great tool to have in case you’re in a pinch.

10 lunges, 10 broad jumps, 10 inch worms, 10 Mt. Everest with a push up, 10 burpees, and 10 squats.

Thats a total of 60 lunges, 50 broad jumps, 40 inch worms, 30 Mt. Everest, 20 burpees, and 10 squats. whew!

Some finshed before others so we gathered up and I had each PAX call out any move they wanted and lead it in cadence for 10 reps while we waited for the six. This is me sneakily grooming them to Q soon. hehe

Next was Cardio Plank. 45 sec on 15 sec rest…um no! We planked those 15 seconds.

  1. Mountain Climbers/Plank
  2. Wide Catcher Hops/Plank

Announcements; Collecting $ for our FIA flag. Need some Q’s for July!

I ended with a short snippet from the book “Do Hard Things” It was on strength in #’s. We humans were made for fellowship and not isolation. Find those who are of the same resolve as you an invite them in and let them get to know you. Hebrews tells us to be “stirring up” and “encouraging one another” we can’t do that if we are not putting ourselves in opportunities to give it and receive it. FIA is one way but do not neglect finding other avenues like: moms groups, homeschool communities, play dates with friends, book clubs etc.
