Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort. – President Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Being in the nation’s capital days before the anniversary of our Independence Day has provided me with an extra sense of appreciation for the holiday this year.  I was in D.C. with a colleague presenting work that was a few years in the making.  The experience left us feeling joy in our accomplishments and opportunities to share with our peers.

After returning from D.C. on Sunday, I geared up for my 2nd Q.  Reflecting on what I wanted to do and say led me to recognize the incredible progress I’ve made since joining my sisters in this journey we call life.  If you would have told me 6 months ago that I would be leading a workout…in front of strangers…OUTSIDE…in front of more strangers…I would have laughed them out of the room.  But, here I am!  The creativity I am able to put into designing a workout, the feeling of serving others with my Q, and the thrill of pushing myself as much as I can keep me coming back.  I challenge and encourage you all to find happiness and joy in your achievements, and be creative in how you serve others!
