It was a cold and clear morning when this small but mighty group showed up at the Hunter Games location for a workout that turned out to be a son of a beatdown. It’s amazing what can be accomplished in 45 minutes of non-stop movement… (well, non-stop except for the time spent googling at the meteoroid shower during warm ups – so awesome we got to see that!). I was nervous as this was my VQ. I wasn’t sure how well the timing of everything would work out and I was hoping the workout wasn’t too hard (still a little concerned about that!). At the end of everything though, I decided this Qing thing isn’t so bad and I came away incredibly proud of all the FIA’s who showed up, pushed themselves and worked it out. Get it girls!

W/U – Run to long parking lot… IC > 25 JJ, 15 Pulse Squats, 10 Push Ups, 10 Arm Circles (forward and back)… Run back to Shelter

Set 1: Divide in Groups of 3, 1 group per station. (Course shaped like triangle with anywhere from 25-50 yds. between each station).

Station 1 (at shelter): 25 dips- Lunge Squats (40 yds) to station 2

Station 2: 15 Burpees, Sprint (50 yds) to station 3

Station 3: 50 Line Jumps or Toe Taps, Bear Crawl (25 yds) to station 1 … Go through entire cycle (moving from stations 1-3) x3

Set 2: Run to long parking lot and divide into 2 Groups, one group on each side of parking lot. One group does Descending Ladder workout while the other group does Ascending Ladder workout- then run to opposite side of the lot and do whichever set you hadn’t done yet.

Descending Ladder:  45JJ, 35 Squats, 25 Squat Jumps, 15 Alternate Back Lunge (1= both sides) > Plank until entire group finishes then all run to opposite end of lot and do the other workout.

Ascending Ladder: 15 Burpees, 25 Push Ups, 35 Mountain Climbers (1= Both legs), 45 Crunches > Plank until entire group finishes then all run to opposite end of lot and do the other workout.

…All plank until both groups finish then all run back to shelter for COT.

COT: Contemplating how Mary (the mother of Jesus) handled the disruptions and interruption to her every day life when the Angel announced she was going to be with child. Her reputation, relationships (etc) were all put on the line because of this- in the end though, it was this “disruption” that glorified God and brought about something much bigger than herself. In light of this- how do we handle the “disruptions” we face in our every day life? Do we view them as inconveniences and agitations leading to anger, or do we see them as potential conduits to Gods glory and a bringing about of a story bigger than ourselves?

Of Note (NMS) … I don’e even know what this stands for, but I’m copying Mary Lou’s backblast 🙂

** There was opportunity to do 60 burpees in this workout- ouch.

** Doing the descending ladder workout was much more motivating than the ascending one!

** It’s not every day you get to see a meteor shower while working out.

** It’s one day post workout and I’m hurting like woah.
