Only Pax with steel constitutions showed up this windy & cold morning!
Warm Up — and believe me we needed it; it was sooo cold, and sooo windy! — was some dynamic stretching (jumping jax, etc) and running up & downhill a few times while we waited in the windy parking lot for any latecomers, before disappearing to the less windy side of the levy.
Our Total Body Beatdown was each exercise, 45 secs on, 15 secs off

So after skipping around like spritely fairies in a treehugging ritual and trying not to drop the dumbbells on our heads, we decided to make excellent use of the nearby hills again – this time pairing them with everyone’s favorite – BURPEES!!
That is, one burpee, run hill.
Two burpees, run hill.
Three burpees, run hill.
You get the idea.
Pyramid your burpees all the way to 10, and you’re done!
Stretching: Spokes should become a yoga teacher because her cool down stretches were so soothing I almost fell asleep standing up. Or maybe it was because I was still hungover from one too many margaritas last night.
Our Name-O-Rama in the COT (Circle of Trust) yielded our newest FNG Jet, thanks to her friend Sky.
Reminder for the day:
It’s better to be able to look back in life and say, “I did that,” than to look back and say, “I wish I had done that.”
I bet none of the Pax who posted to our cold, windy, alt-AO this morning were especially excited to get out of the car, but after we got started, we didn’t feel it so much anymore, and now that it’s done, we have the rest of the weekend to relax!
