Just the two of us

“Just the two of us, we can make it if we try. Just the two of us, building castles in the sand. Just the two of us, you and I.”

Today was the first workout that Bear attended since having her bear cub. She was pumped to get the “go ahead” from her Doc and I was even more pumped to have her by my side sweating it out.

Warm Up  – chit-chat – hey, your mouth muscles need to get worked too, right?

The Thang:

Mosey over to Southeast Harbor neighborhood. Stop at the little park area. One partner holds a sumo squat and does alternating heel raises, while the other partner does 15 sumo squats (squat challenge day 6, done!). Switch. Frog jump across the park. Repeat set of exercises.

Mosey to the bench circle. One partner does sundial push ups (10 for each turn of the dial, it totals 40 push ups) while other partner does jumping jacks or holds plank. Switch. One partner does 20 HC bench lunges while other partner does jump squats. Switch. One partner completes 30 dips, while other partner holds reverse plank. Switch. Repeat all sets.

Mosey back to the park. Stop at the hut before entering. Complete a round of Deconstructed Burpee – 45 sec of boot strappers, 45 sec push ups, 45 sec bobby hurleys.

Mosey around the loop past the playground and butterfly garden, cutting back into the park near the tennis courts.

Mary – One partner holds plank or wall sits while other partner completes the following set: 15 LBC’s, 15 Leg Raises, 15 VUps, 15 LBBC’s. Switch. Repeat. We did 20 HC Oblique crunches too.

Today was a special morning. I’m grateful for this group and the chance to support all women, especially today – a new mom.  Bear, I appreciate you and all the kindness and motivation you bring with you wherever you go. Thank you for being by my side today. I needed that.
