Highway 51 Fun Backblast

We had a great little group at Highway 51 Saturday and though it was chilly we heated up fast! Here’s what we did:

We jogged as a group out the greenway around the front of the school to get to the area in front of the Community Center, then continued warming up with some jumping jacks, arm circles and imperial walkers. Then we moseyed over to the Kidz Art parking lot to start the rest of our workout. The concept was we had a cardio intense set of exercises that we’d alternate with a slower paced arm, leg and core burnout section. So here’s how it went:

Cardio Exercises:
20 Jump Squats
10 Skaters each side
10 Jumping Lunges each side
10 Burpees

Arms:
20 Pushups
Bear Crawl across lot
20 Dips on Benches
Crab Walk back to start
Repeat

Cardio Exercises:
20 Jump Squats
10 Skaters each side
10 Jumping Lunges each side
10 Burpees

Legs:
10 Side Lunges each Side
Stair Hops up the Stairs
20 Calf Raises
20 Monkey Humpers
Repeat

Cardio Exercises:
20 Jump Squats
10 Skaters each side
10 Jumping Lunges each side
10 Burpees

Core:
10 Peter Parkers each side
1 min Plan
10 Bridge Leg Lifts each side
10 Raggedy Anns each side
Repeat

Cardio Exercises:
20 Jump Squats
10 Skaters each side
10 Jumping Lunges each side
10 Burpees

After all that we jogged back to the start for a bit of a yoga style stretch. Whew. An hour is a long time for a workout but we filled up every minute! Thanks for coming out ladies!
