Happy Monday FIA Friends!

Today we did a “25” inspired workout (for Christmas Day).  We planned to workout by the beautiful Christmas tree at Winthrop but it wasn’t lit so we enjoyed the fountain and abstract art (hence the title of the workout) instead. Here’s what went down in the thrill Ya’ll:

* 5 MINUTE YOGA WARM UP*

  • 25 jumping jacks
  • 25 crunches
  • 25 squats
  • 25 calf raises
  • run
  • 25 jumping jacks
  • 25 triceps dips
  • 25 high knees
  • 25 Russian twists
  • run
  •  25 jumping jacks
  • 25 lunges per leg
  • 25 push up’s
  • 25 second plank
  • run
  • 25 jumping jacks
  • 25 robot arms
  • 25 Moroccan night clubs
  • 25 Carolina dry docks
  • run

** FIVE MINUTE CHRISTMAS PANIC YOGA COOL DOWN**

  • should circles (slow – inhale shoulders to ears / exhale release)
  • inhale full body stretch  – reach arms up to sky
  • grab wrists and twist to the right/ then twist to the left (releasing any tension here)
  • hands behind back – fingers interlaced – exhale open chest
  • inhale arms up to sky – forward fold reach as far down to the ground as you can and hang like a rag doll. shake head slowly side to side. come up very slowly on the inhale (one vertebrate at a time – head is last to rise)
  • give yourself a big hug – massage those shoulders and show yourself gratitude for getting up early and honoring your body
