Burpee/Squat Ladder

Another COLD morning in April – anyone else tired of it?  To warm up, I tortured Scratch and myself with burpees.  Because what else are burpees, other than torture?

After a warmup, we did sets of 20 exercises, ladder down burpees, and ladder up squats as follows:

  • 20 jumping jacks / 10 burpees / 1 squat
  • 20 high knees / 9 burpees / 2 squats
  • 20 jump lunges / 8 burpees / 3 squats
  • 20 butt kickers / 7 burpees / 4 squats
  • 20 jump squats / 6 burpees / 5 squats
  • 20 jumping jacks / 5 burpees / 6 squats
  • 20 high knees / 4 burpees / 7 squats
  • 20 jump lunges / 3 burpees / 8 squats
  • 20 butt kickers / 2 burpees / 9 squats
  • 20 jump squats / 1 burpee / 10 squats

Next we did some abs:

  • 20 bicycle crunches / 10 crunches / 2 reverse crunches
  • 20 back scratchers / 8 crunches / 4 reverse crunches
  • 20 supermans / 6 crunches / 6 reverse crunches
  • 20 flutter kicks / 4 crunches / 8 reverse crunches
  • 20 Russian twists / 2 crunches / 10 reverse crunches

We had just enough time to repeat the cardio portion – yay!

To sum up, we did 110 burpees, 150 squats, and 160 ab moves.  In case you’re wondering…
