With persistence, determination, and fierce independence similar to that of her namesake, Amelia Earhart, FNG Camarie Wamsley V-Co-Q’d this Blackops Beatdown in Highlands, North Carolina while she and Tiny Dancer were on a mommy’s weekend away.
(Side Note: This FNG’s attendance completed Tiny Dancer’s September Bingo board. Wahoo!!! So exciting!!! Before starting to play the Bingo game, I was a Saturday-only FiA who had only casually mentioned it to a few friends. But since receiving a copy of the board on 9/8, something sparked in me and I gave the 5:30am beatdowns a try (and love them), now attend The Thicket regularly on Mondays, tell my local and facebook friends about FiA, have done more scary exercise things in the past three weeks than I have in the last 3 years, and have grown in personal confidence. I am abundantly thankful for my new group of FiA friends who are committed to supporting each other while we challenge ourselves both physically, mentally, and also therefore emotionally too. Thank you FiA ladies for being #bettertogether.)
Walked about 1/2 a mile to the fitness center and set up in the open room with weights and mats.
Earhart led us in some arm and core exercises, 20 reps each: Grass Grabbers with weight brought up to chest, Bent-Over Shoulder Flys, Bench Press on floor while hips in bridge, Bicep Curls, Hallelujahs, Grass Grabbers with weight brought up to shoulder (20 each side), Skull Crushers + Scissor Kicks (40 reps).
Tiny Dancer finished up the beatdown with, 20 reps each: pushups, tricep kickbacks in lunge, top half bicep curls, shoulder raises to corners, bottom half hammer curls, Hallelujahs, top half hammer curls, flys, and Streeeeeetch.
Then we leisurely walked back to our lodging while admiring the beautiful weather and other natural surroundings.
