On Monday, 4 PAX gathered to crush an awesome workout! It was a balmy almost 40 degrees when we got started (after many mornings with a wind chill of 5 degrees, you will never hear me complain about near freezing temps again!)
We started with an AMRAP workout then did traveling strength stations. Braveheart jogged around to our traveling stations carrying her weights looking like a Baywatch Babe with her easy stride & her hair bouncing around! The other 3 of us looked like we had been stranded out to sea and could barely run with weights! Braveheart was definitely our inspiration for the morning! The thang went like this!
Part I – 5 minute AMRAP workout. Goal was to move constantly with no breaks! I think we got in about 4-5 rounds!
10 burpees (YAY!)
10 Push Ups
10 lunges (5 on each side)
Part II – after getting our heart rate up, we did 3 different strength stations. In between each station we ran about 1 minute to the next station. Each PAX got to choose where we went next. It was sort of a free spirited rambling rotating stations, but it worked!
Station One – ARMS
Push Up to a side plank T (1o on each side)
Bent Over Reverse Fly – 10
Tricep Extentsions – 10
Carolina Dry Docks – 10
…. travel to station Two – Legs
Weighted Sumo Squats – 20
Glute Bridges – 30
Speed Skaters – 20 on each side
Weighted Lunges – 20 total (10 on each side)
… travel to station Three – Abs
Weighted Russian Twists – 30 each side
Flutter Kicks – 30 each side
Weighted Full Length Extensions – 10
60 Second Plank
We got through two rounds of the stations before we hit time. We closed out with the COT then talked about Grace.
“How you climb up the mountain is just as important as how you get down the mountain. And so it is with life, which for many of us becomes one big gigantic test followed by one big gigantic lesson. In the end, it all comes down to one word, grace. It is how you accept winning and losing, good luck and bad luck, the darkness and the light”
