Our wonderful Thursday morning started off with a lot of buzz and chatter. We had to relocate our mats and gear after only a few minutes in due to lightning and thunderstorms. We stretched, shifted, and stretched some more. Then eventually, got to work.
The Thang: Full Body Countdown
We started with 10 reps of each exercise, followed by a lap around the snack shack. Then dropped to 9 reps. Then 8, 7, all the way down to 1.
Jumping Jacks
Squat to Overhead Press with Sandpup
Bicep Curls with Sandpup
Push ups
Big Girl Sit Ups
Once we made it all the way through the countdown, we did a Tabata Arm series with weights, 2 times through.
30 secs works/10 secs rest:
Bicep Curls
Lateral extensions
Tricep Kickbacks
Forward Extensions
Chicken Wings
It stopped raining for a few minutes, so we took it to the stone wall for some weighted wall sits.
15 secs normal sit with sandpup on lap
15 secs holding sandpup out
15 secs normal sit with sandpup on lap
15 secs heels up with sandpup on lap
We went through this twice also.
Then went back to our mats for Tabata Abs. 30 secs work/10 secs rest, 2 times through:
Russisn Twists
Windshield Wipers
Flutter Kicks
LBCs
And finally. Our time was done. The rain kept us from getting a lot of cardio in. But thanks to our weights and sandpups, we had some good strength training instead.
