(Belated Post) – Had a nice and intimate workout with Sidekick this morning while a number of FiA women participated in the Running of the Bulls 8K in Durham.

 

Stretch/Warm-up

  • Jog around the field
  • Jumping jacks
  • Alt knee hugging stretches
  • Cherry pickers
  • Leg swings back and forth
  • Windmills (forward and backward)

 

Cross-Court Drills

  • Frog jumps across the court, then 5 good pushups
  • Backwards frog jumps across the court, then 5 good tricep dips
  • Bear Crawl across the court, 5 pushups
  • Crawl Bear across the court, 5 tricep dips
  • Repeat

 

Core/Cardio Circuit – 30 seconds each

  • Squats with rock (hold rock straight out when up, alt swing towards hips when down)
  • Walk-out plank jacks
  • Plank shoulder taps
  • Russian hammers with rock
  • Mountain climbers
  • Repeat circuit

 

Butt/Thighs Circuit – 30 seconds each

  • Single leg deadlift with rock – stand on left leg
  • Single leg deadlift with rock – stand on right leg
  • Sumo squats while holding rock to chest
  • Carousel horse dips – right leg in front
  • Carousel horse dips – left leg in front
  • Side leg lifts (lay on left side, lift right leg)
  • Side leg lifts (lay on right side, lift left leg)
  • Inner thigh openers (feet together, slight squat, heels up – pulse knees out)

 

Stretch and close.
