It was a wonderful morning – great temperature, the smell of honeysuckle in the air, some light coming up during the workout – but the hills were calling. It has been awhile since we did any hill work, so I took it upon myself to get us up and down a few of our favorites.
Started with a warmup lap around Hanes Park, stopping at the base of the Intimidator.
Run up Clover to Carolina (1st stop sign), turn left and then recover down Brookstown. Turn and run up Brookstown to Carolina, turn right, and then recover down Clover. Repeat + 1 mile of hills.
Run up Clover to 5th Street (top of road), turn left and recover down Brookstown. Turn and run up Brookstown to 5th, turn right, and recover down Clover. Repeat + 2 more more miles of hills. We are really having fun now!!!!
Run from base of Intimidator to Sunset to the base of Forsyth St, my new nemesis. Look up at the crazy elevation and GO! At 5th Street, turn left and recover to the top of the Intimidator, run back down to Hanes Park. Another mile of fun.
