It was muggy and we were ‘sweatin to the oldies’ on the Saturday after my birthday, so thanks to the ladies who helped me work off that birthday cake and ice cream.
Plan was originally for it all to go down at the track and shelter at Hanes Park, but there was some tennis action or some shenanigans going on, so we switched gears and took it real old school to Reynolds High School.
After a quick lap around the picnic tables under the shelters, we headed up to the flat part and did some 80’s interval tabata to some awesome 80’s music (if I do say so myself!). 60 seconds on, 20 seconds rest (equaling 80 seconds!):
Lunges, Skaters, Squat Jumps for three sets (started out with ZZ Top’s “She’s Got Legs”)
Mountain Climbers, Carolina DryDocks, Plank Shoulder Taps x 3
Russian Twists, Scissors, Bicycles x 2 (because I lost count, ha!)
Calf Raises, Overhead claps, Pulse Squats x 3
Luckily, that missed set of ab work left us enough time to do some plank work, so we did center plank, left side plank and right side plank for a minute each.
Thanks for jammin with me to some sweet Madonna, Paula Abdul, The Clash, Run DMC, etc etc.
