”A Shepherd’s Love”

“He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11

A shepherd cares for his sheep. He protects them from predators. He makes sure they have food, water and a place to sleep. He rescues them from there own bad choices. He tenderly carries the young lambs. Everyone needs tenderness, especially when it feels like life is beating you up and people you thought you could trust have let you down.

Here’s the answer you need – God. Close your eyes, imagine Him holding you gently in His arms…close to His heart, tenderly caring for you as a shepherd cares for a lamb. Whatever you’re facing, whatever you’re struggling through, whatever is weighing you down…know that you can rest in His loving arms.
