Fia was all about time today. We met in the FUMC parking lot for The Thang:

Warm-Up

  • arm stretches, leg stretches, toy soldiers.

Double-Trouble-Mania  

(10-15 minutes) We performed the following exercises with a partner, one minute per exercise as many reps as you could do.

  • Person 1: Wheel Barrow Push-ups Person 2: Squats (Holding the ankles of person one) Push up and squat happened consecutively. (After 1 minute switch positions)
  • Sit up High Fives- Feet to Feet with partner we laid back and did sit ups, high living in the middle.
  • Push up Shoulder Tap- Face partner and push up alternating should taps.
  • Plank Reach and Touch- Face each other planking and reach to touch the others arm/shoulder (alternating)
  • Side Plank with Rotation and Clap. Side plank back to back on hand in the air swings downward to high five the other person. (We did both sides)
  • Jump Squat High-five Face partner and jump squat high five.
  • Person 1: Plank Person 2: Ski Jumps side-to-side over the planker. (Switch)

Cardio Break

  • 10 minutes of freestyle running, jogging, or walking. We did 3 laps around the SALT block parking lot and back. The speedy gals lapped the UMC parking lot after!

1-Minute-Mania

We performed the following exercises for 1 minute each as many reps as we could do.

  1. Jumping Jacks
  2. Squats
  3. Mountain Climbers
  4. Push-ups
  5. Glute-Bridges
  6. Crunches
  7. Side Plank Dips (30 seconds per side)
  8. Burpees
  9. Lunges
  10. Tri-cep Dips
  11. Bicycles
  12. Sumo Squats
  13. Squat Jumps
  14. Side Lunges
  15. Planks Jacks
  16. V-Sits
  17. Jump Rope
  18. Spider Lunges
  19. Close Grip Push-Up
  20. Hold Plank

Name-o-Rama

We welcomed two FNG’s today Cassie and Brigit. Both just graduated college. Brigit is getting her Master’s at LR hints her Fia name-Master and Cassie is a professional photographer leading to the Fia name- Snapper!

  • God’s timing is perfect.
  • We should embrace the moments we have and live in the present to give Him everything we are and not worry about the past or the future.
  • Just like we focused on the 1 minute exercise at hand, we need to keep our eyes on the present time and make the most of it.

COT/Prayer

Afterwards the FiA group was invited to watch the Bedspread Derby for Safe Harbor!
